Savannah Heat - Melissa Schroeder

Savannah Heat

After A Little Harmless Ride comes out, I will no longer have release dates for books. It is something I have been thinking about for awhile. I will have release months or release seasons (ie fall, winter). Don’t worry, there are going to be a lot of releases coming your way. One of the things I promised myself was to have the freedom to choose what I wanted to write. I will be writing the paranormals in the background (Angus will be there sooner rather than later).  So, one of the things under consideration is my Savannah Heat books.

I have planned this series for awhile. I love romantic suspense and I wanted to do a series that was based just on that. I picked a city I love, Savannah, GA to do it in. It is one of those cities that has worked to preserve their historical areas of the town. It makes it a perfect place to have a series that is filled with danger and sexy romance. These will all be about 40,000-60,000-or about 160-250 pages. I will know more when I dive into the book.

Covers are by the very talented Brandy Walker.

  1. Can’t wait, Mel! And you make me very happy when you mention Angus! But I guess it doesn’t take much to please me when you tell me a new book is coming out!!! LOL

    1. There will be a lot of them. My main Harmless books will stay long as will the paranormals, but I will have a lot of books around the size of The Santinis and a little longer like this one. I have been itching to write more and this will allow me to do that and work on those longer books at the same time. You might be sick of me soon.

  2. I love Savannah. It is such a mix of old world charm throw in Tybee Island beach and it’s such a perfect place. I lived there for 3 years and visit it often when I go see my Father. He lives close to there. Looking forward to this series.

    1. I hope you like it! Savannah is just one of those cities that draws me in. If it wasn’t in the South, with the heat and the bugs, I would consider living there. I can’t wait to be there this August!

  3. Great covers. I just know the stories will be just as hot. Savannah is one steamy town I look forward to this series.

    1. Thank you! I love a good romantic suspense so I am looking forward to writing them.

  4. Oh Mel this series sounds good. I haven’t been to Savannah. But its always been a place I have wanted go see.

  5. I received an email from Goodreads saying that Southern Sins would be released on August 1, 2013. I have looked every where to no avail. I am left to believe that this has been a mistake on Goodreads part. Is there any date (even a month or season) that this book will be released? Because after reading the blurb in the email I can’t wait to read this book!
