I always enjoy the banter between old characters. This hasn’t had a final edit:
Dee shook her head and handed some napkins over to May. “She’s pregnant and the hormones are not fun. For any of us. You can ask Chris.”
“Has that man been taking tales home about me being mean to him?”
“You threw ladle at him the other day,” Cynthia said with a smile.
“He said I had fat ankles.”
“He said you’re ankles were swelling a little and maybe you should take a break.”
May sniffed. “He shouldn’t have pointed it out.”
Dee rolled her eyes.
