Meet Pandora of the Midnight Mystery Lounge

Fifty years ago, Jeannie Williams made her way to Las Vegas seeking fame and fortune. Instead, she lost her soul and wound up performing nightly shows at the Arcana Royale. Every day, she straps on her feathers, her glitter, her stilettos, and she dances. Every day, it’s the same.

We sat down with Pandora to ask her some questions about her work, her life, and the fabulous Arcana Royale.

What is your author like?

She’s funny, she wants everything to work out, but she doesn’t pull her punches either. Crazy things happened to me and I didn’t always see where she was driving us—but I trusted her to get us all there.

Tell me about the place where you live.

I live in the Midnight Mystery Lounge at the Arcana Royale. All the dancers live there—we work in the theater and we have cells—rooms downstairs.

What is your family like?

My family is a typical one…mom, dad, two older brothers and my grandmother. I haven’t seen them in years, but I like to think they are all happy, sassy—and that my parents became grandparents.

Who is your best friend in the world and what is he/she like?

All of the dancers are like my sisters and I love them very much. Heidi, our stage manager, is tough and forthright—but she’s great to me. She talks to me, peps me up, listens when I need to talk and pushes me when I need it.

What is the thing you are most proud of?

My performances. I always wanted to be an actress and I never imagined standing up on that stage and singing or dancing every night, but when we do—the girls and I? We make magic happen. It’s an amazing feeling and I live for those moments.

If you had a day to do anything you wanted, what would you do?

To dance in the sun—to celebrate in the sun—I haven’t seen the sun in so very long.

What is your most prized possession?

I have these shoes—they’re made with diamonds and crystals and they shimmer and I feel beautiful when I wear them.

How would you describe yourself?

My name is Jeanie Williams…and I am Pandora.

How do you think your friends would describe you?

Sunshine on the stage…at least that’s what Heidi calls me.

How would you describe yourself?

I’m a dreamer. I believe in a bigger, better world…and I won’t ever stop.

What makes you unique?

The stage—our theater—it’s about all of us. The only thing that makes me unique is that I get to dance with the most amazing women every single night.

What are your 3 greatest strengths?

My ability to dance, the fact that I always look at the positive side of things and that I truly believe everyone is beautiful…not everyone believes they are—and that’s okay. I believe enough for them.

What are your 3 greatest weaknesses?

I feel things, sometimes too deeply. I miss my family.  Sometimes, when I walk out on the stage…I forget who I am.

Do you have any spiritual beliefs?

I believe that everything happens for a reason. I went west to find my destiny—to embrace my future and it took a long time…but I believe everything happens for a reason.

Do you believe in happily ever after?

Yes…yes I do.

Until the day he walks in.

For six centuries, Malcolm Reynolds has been the go-to guy for anything his family needs: warrior, diplomat, wrangler, researcher, and now an attorney. He enters the Arcana Royale Casino, intent on negotiating the release of his cousin’s bad debt, but one look at the golden-skinned showgirl ignites a fire of need that he’s never experienced. When the fantasy come true sits at his table, words he never expected to hear come out of her lush mouth: “I need your help.”

Now he’s in for the toughest battle of his life, because the Overseers own both his cousin’s debt and her soul. And he’s not planning on leaving the Royale without either one.

This book has been previously published and has been revised and expanded from its original release.

Warning: Contains high-stakes games, sexy showgirls, and a powerful showdown between a vampire that can’t lose and the House that never does. Spells, slots, sirens and sex, oh my!
