Well, after a few weeks of teasing, I revealed my news last night to The Harmless Addicts!
Last year I wanted to work on some shorter books again. Much along the lines of the first Santinis and Semper Fi. But since it had been so long, I wanted to take some time and decide if I could write it well. I wrote six books under the name Maya Reed, but they are all under my own name now and in my newly announced MELISSA SCHROEDER INSTALOVE COLLECTION. 
You can find all the books at the link above, but I wanted to give you a little background on the collection. I love writing and reading instalove, but I also love writing and reading longer books. So over the winter, I had to come to terms with my two loves, long and short writing, and come up with a plan. After months of working on it, I decided to out myself and let the world know that I am the writer of these books. And there are much more to come. Check out the Coming Soon page to give you a preview.
What is an instalove romance? Around 70-130 pages or so, and they are all about the romance, low on drama, and very, very tropey. That is what you get with this collection. They are all in Kindle Unlimited right now, but they will be moving into wide release over the next few months. At least that is the plan right now.
I know they aren’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea, but I find writing the shorter books keep my writing skills sharper and gives my brain a break from the other stuff.
And no worries. Older series will still have new releases coming. I haven’t worked them in, but look for more Harmless, TFH, and The Fitzpatricks in 2022.
